Projects: Water Quality: Aliso and San Diego Creeks
Tetra Tech was contracted by the County of Orange to provide technical assistance on the water quality planning and water quality initiatives being conducted in the Aliso Creek and Newport Bay/San Diego Creek Watersheds. This project emphasized understanding water quality problems and recommended approaches to alleviate the impairments to beneficial uses in these watersheds.
The work performed by Tetra Tech has been closely integrated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Watershed Feasibility Studies and the Special Area Management Plan for the Aliso Creek Watershed and the watershed enhancement and management plan initiated by the California Coastal Conservancy. The project goal was to assist Orange County in their compliance efforts for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) allocations for sediments, nutrients, bacteria, temperature, and toxicity.
