Tetra Tech has completed numerous flood control projects throughout the United States. Structural solutions have been designed that include flood control channels and levees, detention and debris basins, and environmental restoration measures.

Tetra Tech has excellent specialized experience and technical competence in the areas of flood control levees and detention basins. We have completed planning reports, design documentation reports, plans and specifications, and O & M Manuals for these projects. Detention basins include on- and off-line basins, below grade basins, above ground basins with significant dam embankments, concrete and RCC spillways, and gated and ungated outlet structures.  Levees include those on alluvial fans with significant toe-down designs, those faced with soil cement, and those lined with natural and/or more aesthetic treatments.
